Haematology and biochemistry blood tests with our in-house analyser.  This is an invaluable aid to a speedy diagnosis when your pet is ill any time of day or night.  We also make use of the blood testing facilities for pre-anaesthetic screening.  With in-house equipment blood tests can be done on the morning of admission thus ensuring your pet can be cared for as quickly as possible.

We have recently purchased new laboratory equipment that enable us to do specific hormone assays in-house, enabling us to give you same day results.

Microscopy of urine samples to check for infection and bladder stones.  Skin samples can be examined for evidence of mites and external parasites.

Any specialist tests we need to perform are entrusted to a highly regarded external  veterinary laboratory.  This laboratory is able to provide us with rapid  results by fax or email, often within 24 hours. x
