Important Points To Be Aware Of!

You may need an Export Health Certificate to enter your destination country

Any such health certificates will be in addition to the PETS Passport.  To find out the exact requirements for the country you wish to visit you must contact DEFRA.

Our local DEFRA office is -

Animal Health Office, MAFF, Block A, Government Buildings, Coley Park, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 6LY, Tel 0118 9596695, Fax 0118 9392500.

Some countries require the rabies vaccination to be done more frequently than every 2 years

Again the best advice here is to contact DEFRA and obtain the specific requirements for the country you are visiting.

Protect your pet against heartworm infection

Heartworm infection is currently not a threat to dogs living in the UK but poses a risk to dogs and puppies travelling to heartworm areas such as Southern Europe.  We advise preventative treatment with a product called Program Plus ®.  Please ask advice from one of our veterinary surgeons.
